Molecular Imprints unique combination of extraordinary resolution capability at low cost is opening numerous applications beyond semiconductors where highly dense nanopatterning must be accomplished without the high costs associated with today’s 193nm lithography. One of the first such applications is patterned media for hard disk drives, which requires sub-20nm patterning at less than 1/10 the cost of 193nm lithography. Another emerging application is the production of photonic crystals for high brightness LEDs. Other applications in energy, clean-technology, and biotechnology are on the horizon.
