Image Processing Engineer
Position Summary
The candidate will be responsible for the continued development of several image processing systems.
Responsibilities include the development of data acquisition routines, the development of system calibration routines, and the development of image analysis routines. When appropriate COTS vision libraries should be utilized.
Hardware selection, testing, and integration is a required job function. The candidate must be able to work with mechanical engineers to specify the requirements of the mounting hardware and work with electrical engineers to specify the appropriate power and I/O needed by the imaging systems.
Essential Functions
- Develop, test, and optimize image analysis algorithms
- Develop and test image acquisition systems composed of frame grabbers, cameras, microscope optics, and illuminators
- Develop, test, and optimize alignment targets
Qualifications
Education
- MS + 3 in EE or CS
- PhD preferred
Experience
- C++ and C
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- Should be familiar with Octave or MATLAB
- Should be familiar with a scripting language (preferably Tcl)
- Should be familiar CORBA or socket programming
- Should have experience with Cognex Vision Tools or the Matrox Odyssey Native Library and MIL
- Semiconductor industry experience
